3. 40 Days for Life

On Wed., Sept. 23, 2020, we begin another 40 days for life, filled with Prayer & Fasting and Peaceful Vigil.

I invite all our parishioners to participate in the campaign in these ways:

KICKOFF RALLY – Sat., Sept. 19, 1 – 2:00 pm, at the Hope Clinic for Women.

PRAYER & FASTING – Prayer is the foundation of every 40 Days for Life campaign. Prayer keeps us humble and united. Without prayer, our campaign is a mere protest.

  • PRAY - Spend time during your normal day praying for the end to abortion.  PRAYER    DEVOTIONAL
  • FAST - Fasting detaches us from what we are attached to so we can focus on prayer and God.
  • ROSARY – Join us in praying the rosary before each weekend Mass.   ROSARY    PRO-LIFE MYSTERIES

PEACEFUL VIGIL – Spend an hour at the Hope Clinic for Women in Granite City, peacefully praying for an end to abortion.

  • Sign up on St. Cecilia's adopted day:   NOVEMBER 1
  • Sign up for an hour that has not been filled:   FILL THE GAP

MID - POINT RALLY – Sat., Oct. 17, 1 – 2:00 pm, at the Hope Clinic for Women.

CLOSING RALLY  – Sun., Nov. 1, 5 – 7:30 pm,  Hope Clinic for Women

  • Adult Studies - Presence

Although the Eucharist appears to be simple bread and wine, it is actually the “source and summit” of the Christian life.

Presence: The Mystery of the Eucharist explores the truth and beauty of Christ’s real presence in the Eucharist, from its origins in Sacred Scripture to its profound role in the life of the Church and its members.

The Eucharist is the crescendo of the entire story of salvation.

Please join us in class, over ZOOM or by doing the study independently own your own.
