Eucharistic Revival at St. Cecilia

The 3 year National Eucharistic Revival began a year ago, on Corpus Christi Sunday, June 19, 2022 and will end on Pentecost, June 8, 2025:
  • YEAR 1 - June 19, 2022 - June 11, 2023 - Year of Diocesan Revival
  • YEAR 2 - June 11, 2023 - July 17, 2024 - Year of Parish Revival
  • YEAR 3 - July 21, 2024 - June 8, 2025 - Year of Going out on Mission
We have just begun the Year of Parish Revival.  This second phase will foster Eucharistic devotion at the parish level, strengthening our liturgical life through faithful celebration of the Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, Missions, Resources, Preaching, and Organic Movements of the Holy Spirit.
During this Year of Parish Revival at St. Cecilia, we will be providing you with information and events to help you learn and experience more from God and from the Eucharist, specifically in these 4 areas:
1. Reinvigoration of our Worship
The Eucharist is the source & summit of our faith.  Through the Liturgy, we are guaranteed an encounter with Jesus!  We want to help you understand the Mass and revere the beauty and mystery of what is being celebrated - the Eucharist.
Do you have a question about something in the Mass?
Do you have a story about a powerful experience you had in the Holy Mass?
2. Personal Encounter
During this year, we will expand upon our 1st Saturday Devotion to include other days of devotion, prayer nights, retreats, and Eucharistic pilgrimages.
Do you have an idea?  If so, we would love to hear it!
3. Robust Faith Formation
This year, all our faith formation classes will focus on the Sacraments and the Eucharist.  One of the offerings will be a 7-session study that is being developed just for the Eucharistic Revival.  All the churches in the United States will be encouraged to do this study.  Imagine, you will be at St. Cecilia learning the same thing as your family and friends in other places in the United States!  Don't miss out on these studies - you will get to know both your faith and your fellow parishioners better.
Do you have questions about the studies?
Are you unsure about attending?
Want to know exactly what will happen in a study?
4. Missionary Sending
As Christian disciples, we are called to bring the ever-present Life of God into the world.  During the Year of the Parish Revival, we are called to do this in 2 ways:
Invite One Back
As our parish is reinvigorated, we then need to invite others to our Church services and activities. We may invite someone who has fallen away from attending Sunday Mass or someone who seems interested in talking about the faith. Jesus was the master of personal invitation (Mt 4:18-20, Mk 1:16-18, Lk 5:1-11).
How we invite matters.  We need to think about a time when we were invited somewhere new.  What made you go?  What made you unafraid?  We will need to anticipate how someone will receive an invitation from us, to think about and pray through how someone might desire or want to be invited.
Do you have ideas on inviting, welcoming and fellowship?
Accompany Those in Need
We are the hands and feet of Jesus and are meant to bring His Good News to the mission field in our neighborhood and parish.  Throughout the year, we will be serving those in need in our area.
Do you know of opportunities for us to serve?

WE NEED YOU!
Our Parish cannot be revived or reinvigorated unless you participate.  We hope you will make time in your schedule to read the information we provide and participate in the events we have prepared for you during this upcoming year.
We also hope you will contact Paula with any comments or ideas you have to make this "Year of Parish Revival" productive at St. Cecilia.
